2022 is Here!

It blows my mind that 2022 is here. So much happened in 2021 that the entire year is just a blur. We have exciting things happening in 2022—mainly the construction of our new home. We are thrilled to be breaking ground this month and to share it with you along the way. We’ve got big plans for both the house and the property. I’m sure it’ll take several years for it all to come to fruition, but each and every project we complete is going to make our place more and more like the home we hope to create. Below is a photo of the house we are building or rather one very close to it. Another version of the house was recently built in Newnan on East Broad Street. Yes, I drive by it all the time and love it more and more each time I go by.

Because it will still be several months before the house is complete, we will unfortunately be keeping the woodshop closed until further notice. Those clients who have requested to wait on their orders so they can be first in line when we reopen will be notified once we are able to begin working on their furniture. Because we already have several clients on the wait list, we won’t be adding anyone else to the wait list at this time. We will accept new orders when the woodshop reopens. Thank you all for your patience.

Despite the construction zone, we are hoping to use our property for some photo sessions this year. We have 5 acres with a beautiful old oak tree, paths throughout the woods, a large patch of English Ivy under a canopy of pine trees that filters beautiful light and areas of tall grass in front of where the house will be. We’ll see just how messy construction gets, but we’re excited to begin using our lovely property.

Speaking of photography—be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages and keep an eye out for mini sessions throughout the year! I have had so many people ask me about doing themed/seasonal minis (not the sessions I do each fall—I know I call those minis, but I really shouldn’t because they are definitely NOT mini. LOL!) that I’m planning to do true minis this year. They will be shorter sessions with fewer photos and a lower price making it ideal for capturing photos of your family and children all year long. I’m brainstorming ideas—old truck themed minis, tea party in the woods, Halloween costume minis, all sorts of ideas— so feel free to message me your requests. I will post more info as I work out details but be ready to grab a spot because they will all be limited and are bound to go fast.

First up this year will be “Spring in the Forest” Minis in March. I’ll be booking soon so stay tuned…
